Software engineering for regulated finance.
We build trading, payments and back-office systems for financial businesses — and put the compliance groundwork under them. Senior team. Verified releases. No hand-holding required.
Three practices. One standard: it ships working, and it survives an audit.
Software Engineering
Trading platforms, payment systems and back-office suites — built from a locked design reference to a Playwright-verified release.
EngineeringFintech & Compliance Advisory
AML/CTF programmes, licensing readiness and financial-model audits — findings mapped to the obligations you actually answer to.
AdvisoryManaged Services
We stay on after handoff — running, monitoring and evolving the systems we build, with response terms in writing.
Managed servicesBuilt for businesses where mistakes cost money.
OTC trading for a registered MSB. A nine-role back-office with maker-checker approvals. A 62-finding AML audit. Financial models audited to the formula.
See case studiesWe invoice in fiat and settle in USD, EUR and major cryptocurrencies — documented, reconciled, and written into every engagement contract.

Every engagement runs on the same discipline: scope in writing, a locked design reference, automated verification, and documentation your auditors can pick up without a meeting.
Software Engineering
Full-cycle build of financial platforms: trading & OTC RFQ, payments & settlement, back-office with RBAC and maker-checker, KYC workflows.

AML/CTF programme design and audit, licensing and registration readiness, regulatory gap analysis, transaction-cost and P&L model audits.

Systems administration, release management with automated QA, data processing pipelines, and operational dashboards including Grafana.
Read moreOTC & RFQ platforms
Request-for-quote workflows with client tiering, quote lifecycle management, referral tracking and regulator-ready reporting. Built for desks where quote-to-settle happens in one screen.
Payment & settlement systems
Multi-currency and multi-rail settlement flows, reconciliation, transaction-cost instrumentation, and per-network fee modelling — so finance sees true unit economics, not averages.
RBAC, maker-checker, audit logs
Role-based access control modelled to your real org chart — we've shipped nine-role schemes — with maker-checker approvals on sensitive actions and tamper-evident audit logging throughout.
KYC & document workflows
Structured onboarding pipelines: document collection, review queues, risk scoring, escalation paths and status tracking — designed with the compliance officer in the room, not consulted after.
A quote desk in one screen.
For a registered money services business we built the full OTC stack: RFQ engine, client management, tiered pricing and reporting — as a clean architecture the client's in-house team took over after handoff. The design reference was locked early and every subsequent release was verified against it by an automated Playwright suite.
Case studiesIllustrative interface, based on a production build. Client data never shown.
Regulatory groundwork, done as an engineering problem.
Documented, testable, and mapped to the framework you actually answer to. We work alongside your counsel and compliance officer — we don't replace them, we give them something rigorous to sign.
AML/CTF programme design & audit
Line-by-line review of policies, procedures and controls against your national obligations — every finding logged with the specific obligation reference, severity, and a named remediation owner.
Registration & licensing readiness
Gap analysis and document preparation ahead of regulatory registration — what the regulator will ask for, what you have, and a workplan to close the difference before you file.
Regulatory change analysis
When a new law lands on your sector, we map what changes for your specific operating model: scope, deadlines, supervisory expectations, and the concrete work needed to comply.
Financial & cost model audits
Formula-level audits of P&L and transaction-cost models. We've caught material errors that overstated a client's net profit — and cost curves that understated true settlement costs.
62 findings. One workbook. Zero ambiguity.
For a money services business preparing its national registration, we reviewed the full AML/CTF programme and delivered 62 findings — from critical reporting-obligation gaps to template artifacts left over from foreign frameworks — each mapped to the specific obligation and packaged as a remediation workbook their auditors picked up without a meeting.
Case studiesIllustrative extract. Real workbooks reference the client's specific national obligations.
We are consultants, not counsel. Advisory work is delivered for review and adoption by your own legal and compliance functions.
Online systems administration
Environment management, access administration, backup and recovery discipline, and scheduled maintenance windows your business can plan around.
Release management & QA
Every change ships through the same automated Playwright gate used during the build. Release notes are written for operators, not just engineers.
Data processing & reporting
Reporting pipelines for finance and compliance: scheduled extracts, reconciliation reports, and the regulator-facing exports your obligations require.
Dashboards & monitoring
Operational metrics where your team already looks — including Grafana integration for real-time system health, business KPIs and alerting thresholds.
Boring dashboards. That's the point.
A well-run system produces uneventful monitoring. We instrument the platforms we operate so that finance sees unit costs per settlement rail, compliance sees queue ages and SLA breaches before they happen, and engineering sees a release history where every entry passed the same gate.
Illustrative operations view. Real dashboards live in your Grafana.
Selected work
Client identities are protected under NDA. Verifiable references are available to counterparties in a formal due-diligence process.
OTC trading platform for a registered money services business
Quote-to-settle in one screen: RFQ workflow, client tiering, referral tracking and regulator-ready reporting. Delivered as a clean Vite/Zustand architecture with a locked design reference, handed to the client's in-house team with full documentation.
Full back-office & risk platform
Nine-role access control, maker-checker approvals on sensitive actions, KYC document workflows, risk scoring and a tamper-evident audit log. Every release verified by an automated Playwright suite that grew to nearly two hundred checks per cycle.
Compliance programme audit ahead of national registration
Line-by-line review of an AML/CTF programme against national reporting obligations: 62 findings from critical to low — including reporting-trigger gaps and template artifacts from foreign frameworks — each mapped to its obligation and packaged as a remediation workbook.
Settlement cost & P&L model audits
Formula-level audits of financial models for payments and services businesses: per-withdrawal cost curves across four settlement networks, scaling anomalies in AML-check costs, and two material bugs caught in a P&L model that overstated a client's net profit.

Start a projectA Costa Rican engineering company with a compliance spine.
Well Core Technologies SRL is a software engineering and advisory firm incorporated in San José and registered in the National Registry of Costa Rica under legal ID 3-102-913956. We work with financial businesses — money services, payments, trading — where software and regulation are the same problem viewed from two sides.
The team is senior and small by design. Engagements run on written scope, locked design references and automated verification, so clients see working software at every step rather than status reports. Advisory work follows the same discipline: findings mapped to obligations, delivered as workbooks your auditors can pick up without a meeting.
We serve clients across Europe, North America and Asia, working in English and Russian.
Written, or it didn't happen
Scope, decisions and changes live in documents, not chat history. When the auditor asks, the answer already exists.
Verified, or it doesn't ship
Automated checks gate every release. A build that hasn't passed the suite doesn't leave the building — regardless of deadline.
Yours, or it isn't done
Handoff means your team runs it without us. Documentation stays current until they do — or we stay on under managed terms.
